Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-08-03

These Terms of Service govern your use of the LessonPilot browser extension, website, APIs, and related services operated by Mads Vebø Byom. By using LessonPilot, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

LessonPilot provides AI-assisted tools for generating educational questions and sharing output through supported integrations.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Some features require a Google-authenticated account. You are responsible for activity under your account, for maintaining access to your connected accounts, and for providing accurate account information.

3. Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the service for illegal or harmful activity.
  • Do not attempt to bypass quotas, billing controls, or security protections.
  • Do not submit content that infringes rights or violates law.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions to use source content you paste, select, upload, or distribute through LessonPilot.
  • Do not use LessonPilot to copy, republish, or distribute copyrighted material in ways that violate licenses, paywalls, contracts, or applicable law.
  • Do not submit sensitive personal data, student data, or confidential material unless you are authorized to do so and such use is lawful.

4. AI Output Disclaimer

AI-generated output may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing content before classroom use, publication, or distribution, and for ensuring it is suitable for your students or audience.

5. Paid Plans, Billing, Cancellation, and Refunds

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Pricing and billing periods are shown at checkout. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through Stripe customer portal.

If a plan is offered on a recurring basis, it renews automatically until canceled. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by mandatory law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started.

We may issue refunds at our discretion in cases such as duplicate charges, billing errors, technical failure, or other exceptional circumstances.

6. Third-Party Integrations

LessonPilot may connect with third-party services such as Google and Stripe. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

7. Availability and Changes

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

8. Intellectual Property and User Content

LessonPilot software and branding are owned by us or our licensors. You retain rights to your input content and grant us a limited license to process it for service operation.

If we receive credible reports of infringement or misuse, we may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts in line with these Terms and applicable law.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, abuse, or legal/compliance reasons.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonPilot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to LessonPilot.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use of LessonPilot after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
